I don't use WMP9S as often, I mostly use... nothing!?

It's not such a stupid question. mp3 is a name for a codec which has many subcodecs. If you don't have the right (sub)codec to play a certain file, then WMP will ask you if it can download the codec so you can play the file...

Yeah I remember when I was having to download a codec to play one file I was sent...WMP9 did it...and my comp usually plays any MP3!
