from what ive heard msn 6.2 was suppse to be able to have animated display pics but microsoft didnt let them

does anyone no if there is a plugin out there like this? n if not is it possible to create??

No, it is impossible to make animated display pictures, it has to do with no animated display pictures being able to be sent over the server and the software itself doesn't support it...

wasn't there a thread about people trying to make animated display pictures in msn? like both people would need the plugin. whatever happened to that idea?

Actually, yes it was. It was on the Msn Messenger site wene 6.2 was about to be released, I saw it myself, soooo..

it was goin to be one of the features of 6.2 wen it was released but ti never happened

No it was going to be in some Korean release of a special version of MSN Messenger...It was never promised...

Yeah, from a while back, it was more of a pie in the sky idea, and it would have been illegal by the viable methods suggested. But without making a new server to send the animated images over swell as hacking the main .exe and some other run-time files it was impossible. Even now its believed to be impossible if you don't do that, however I'm sure one say MSN will introduce it, probably not long from now a few years at the most .

Would be cool to have animated avatars!

No it wasn't.... Impossible.... There was only one brief sentence on the internal site from 6.2!! There wasn't even talk about something remotely related when 6.1 was released.... Also, the never said "Animated Display Pictures"!!!!! They said "Deluxe Display Picture" and people immediatly thought what they wanted to hear and the rumour started.....

Deluxe Display Pictures are something unrelated and unlinked to the normal Display Pictures. Both are something seperate and the Deluxe Display Picture-system can only be used if you install an external program. Also the Deluxe Display Pictures are not what you think they are, they don't work like normal Display Pictures, neither do they look like normal Display Pictures.....

The external program that makes this is called PowerPlus and is nothing more then an official addon for the Korean MSN Messenger!!!
