I've heard that the release of longhorn will now be delayed. Also, i think its system requiements are significantly higher than windows XP. The current Betas (build 4074) require 128mb ram minimum, double over windows xp's 64mb ram mimimum

thats the minimum winXP will install on. with 64mb of RAM, windows XP will barely be useable. most tech gurus recomend 256 for widowns XP

I have 192mb ram and my XP system works fine for everything, eg, word processing, High graphical games, etc....
:)Shuttle XPC SN41G2. AMD Athlon XP 2800+  (2080mhz). Seagate Baracuda 120GB ATA100. Pioneer DVR-A06 DVD-/+R/RW. Labtec Axis 007. Logitech Clicksmart 510. Sony Cybershot DSC-F717. Sony Handycam TRV-950E.

Sony Ericsson T630. 65k colour screen and camera!

As long as you don't push it too hard... Even 256 MB are far better, especially when you use big programs or games.
