the rainbow colors are the worst imho... as you know still images are awfully static so you must add some life to it... starting from backgrounds to very carefully selected shading... it's a whole science in its own way, but when you'll get the hang of this, it's obvious...:)

I'm not saying your works are bad... they're much better than others I've seen from photoshop beginners... practice practice practice...
