Hi [Wouter] , Your plug-in doesn't work with me.
The only thing it does is opening the prefference window of msn.
I've running
Windows Versie: Windows XP, 5.01.2600
Messenger Client Versie: 6.1.0155
Messenger Plus! Versie: 2.50.0065

is it possible to also have song lyrics in the name?
like in winamp you put in the lyrics into the ID3 tag or whatever, then your programme displays random lines of lyrics from the current song you are listening to?, coz that would be a coo reature to have!

hummmm I still can't use the commands:

/xwinampoptions - - shows the options page
/xwinampabout - - shows the about dialog
/xwinampon - - enable current song to nick
/xwinampoff - - disable current song to nick

they just appear like text... what am i doing wrong?
i want the optionssss

have u installed the correct version of the plugin?
these is three different versions (i think) posted here, the last 1 posted worked fine for me
have you regestered the dll?

really?? does it work for you?? without opening the options panel? i couldnt make it work, my system kept crashing when i started playing a new song

Wouter you might want to change the readme you forgot the "'s in the registering


1:    Go to Start > Run > and type:
2:    Type..     regsvr32 "c:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 2\Plugins\winamp.dll" And click OK.
3:    DllRegisterServer in c:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 2\Plugins\winamp.dll succeeded appears.
4:    Run Install.reg yes/no will appear press yes.
5:    restart msn messenger
6:    Type..  /xwinampoptions for options and /xwinampon to enable song 2 nick

Edit:Woo hoo this one is working just fune mabey in a futer verson so you can make it so its just one like so you can just type in %winamp% and it would make the song. like im listinint to %winamp% right now. then you would only have to have one line instead of 2 or 3. if not i like the fact that its working

TNX mate changed it and reuploaded the file

damn it!! why does it work for everyone except for me?? the new version at least doesnt crash the whole system but just the msn
