RE: Song2Nick // WindowsMedia Player, MusicMatch Jukebox, Winamp 2,3,5
I am using this plugin with Messenger 6.1 and MSG PLUS! Ver2.51.68 of Nov1st  This is the last version in which this plugin works....  no other versions of MSGPLUS are compatible with this plugin...   I have tried them all beyond 2.51 and they dont work ths is your trouble people!!!!  If you would like to use this plugin get Ver2.51.68 as of today this link works:  NOTE: this is not my site, was found wit google.

edit***  Direct link may not work...  Here is the Dir Listing    http://members.lycos.nl/christiaanssite/Bestanden/

Good Luck you might be able to find this version on overnet or edonkey but be suspect of possible viruses....

Good Luck guys!!!

hopefully Patch and Qout can figure out the incompat

Cheers!   8-|

correction to a1niter`s comment, that is all incorrect, it is, and always has worked for me with plus! version 2.52.72 (one lower than the newest one) and all my friends who use it use the same versions i use, including the newest messenger version, so people, use 2.52.72 for this plugin to work without flaws or errors, thankz

Ok, having just installed the latest version of Song2Nick and THEN read about it, I now need a way to remove it from my PC so I can run Plus again. Does it have an uninstaller or anything similar?

Just go to your :plus2: folder (usually C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 2), then go to Plugins and delete the DLL file of the plugin (sorry, I don't remember its name).

Ok, I really love the fact that you are taking the time to work on a plugin like this.  I have one suggestion though.

Since :plus2: enables you to type
code:
(!WAT)
to insert the current song into a conversation and if you type
code:
/name (!WAT)
it places the song name as your name, would it not be possible to author a small program that automatically types
code:
/name <optional text> (!WAT) <optional text>
whenever Winamp changes a song?  If you could look at that it would be much simpler than what is already running.

Thanks and I hope my suggestion helps.

Is there any new info on this plug-in? I downloaded it and it worked but as soon as I restarted my PC it stopped working, and it claims to be enabled and is still making the beep sound whenever the song changes...I really like it though (Y)

edit to add: ok it seems to be working again. It's kinda temperamental. To get rid of the annoying beep i just went into my sounds and turned the default beep off, i always detested that particular sound anyways.:D

Yay, excellent idea!! I'm gonna like this plugin very mutch :D

But I have some probs too...

I use Windows Media Player and the following msn/plus versions:
Messenger Client Version: 6.1.0211
Messenger Plus! Version: 2.54.0074

I dont get any runtime errors but when I turn the plugin on using the /xs2non command, it says "enabled" but doesnt do anything...

Any help or fixes in the new version?

Good luck Wouter, this is a gr8 plugin!
