According to a couple of Mac related websites, and from what we can see from this cover picture hosted in MSNBC.com, iPods generation 4 will be announced tomorrow (or at least in a week or so):

While we are not able to confirm the prices of the new iPods, sources say that they will be lower than those of current models.

Note that the leaked images are from msnbc.com, kinda reliable source, and belong to the Newsweek magazine that will probably be out tomorrow.

We'll have to wait untill OFFICIAL info from Apple is released! All these rumour sites! I hope there is a longer battery life1

Err well, the Newsweek website with a Steve Jobs cover from "July 26th, 2004" (why the hell do they post it so in advance? -- someone apparently "guessed the URL") and that reads "Steve Jobs with the New iPod" (click the cover above to see the enlargement, and read the text in the bottom center) is not quite a "rumor site".

But yeah, we'll have to wait.

You F-Ken serious! I just brought my iPod for 600 bucks and theres a new one coming out a week later!!

They are running commercial about it for more then a week now... (dunno what channel, I zapped thru it)

I'm saving for mine. This 4G iPod's got 12 hours battery life (instead of 6-8), and it's going to be sold $100 cheaper than current iPods. Thank god, this also means 3G iPods will vastly drop in price! I'm saving for a 4G and by the time I've saved enough, it should be out in stores!

that's pretty cool, yeah i'm saving up for one as well.  atm i want a 20 gig plus maybe a few extra things, such as the travel kit or extra batt. pack.

How much will the new ipods be can anyone guess?
