ASCII includes characters like é, à, ü, ò, ñ, etc...
Like in any programming language, ASCII (uses 1 byte to define a character) is always supported. It is Unicode (uses 2 bytes to define a character) which must be programmed within the program.
ASCII-chart: http://www.asciitable.com/ or also see http://www.jimprice.com/jim-asc.htm for detailed info

RE: Translating Stuffplug-NG
u are taking this too seriously even though theblas didnt say he would do it any time soon
And the fact that u were the first one to say that u wanted to translate to spanish doesnt mean that u actually will be the translator

It is TB who decides weither StuffPlug-NG is going to be translated or not...
It is TB who chooses the translators IF he decides that translations can be made...
Nobody else...

You're not talking about the original ASCII, it was extended (as one of you links say. So it would be possible that TB used an older ASCII resource fo SP-NG, making it unable to use these characters.
Or maybe you're right

RE: Translating Stuffplug-NG
the "old" ASCII which you refer to (consisting of 128 characters) was "upgraded" to extended-ASCII many many many years ago... Every basic computerlanguage, PC, editor, etc. in short: everything (even how basic it is) uses at least extended ASCII.... In fact, it would be difficult to not use it, because ASCII consist of 1 byte and a byte has 256 possible values.
When anybody speaks of ASCII now-a-days, they mean extended ASCII...

RE: Translating Stuffplug-NG
Came to my mind... Is there a text-to-ASCII program somewhere? It's most certainly doable. Or hold on a minute... Stuffplug talkers could do the trick.

RE: Translating Stuffplug-NG
You cannot translate StuffPlug with te talkers...
It can be done if TheBlasphemer makes his plugin to read strings from an external file (just like msgplus does), or making several versions of the program, 1 for each language.
In this 2nd case the translation could start right now, using a hex editor to change the strings (I think so).
