* I reinstalled the latest version of MSN Messnger (repair install), version 6.2.0137
* uninstalled Messenger Plus! including settings
* installed the new Messenger Plus! (3.20.100)
* downloaded the zip archive from the first page (10 minutes ago)
* extracted it to Messenger Plus!\Plugins
* ran the .reg file
* restarted my computer
But it still doesn't work here. When I go to the Plus! options, and take a look at plugins, song2nick isn't in the list. and messenger doens't recognize the commands. (/xsong2nickon etc...) I did notice that there is no song2nick.exe in the plugins folder, and it was there before. Should there be one? It wasn't in the zip-archive anyway.
Any ideas?
Thx,
D@ffy
[edit]zip instead of rar...[/edit]
did you register the song2nick.dll file??
if not, goto start > run (now in run paste the text below and click ok)
code: regsvr32 "c:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\Plugins\Song2Nick.dll"
BTW, wouter since this is beta and has no insatller u might want to tell ppl on the first page that they need to register the dll file

Yep, that was the problem.
Thx!

RE: Song2Nick // WindowsMedia Player, MusicMatch Jukebox, Winamp 2,5 and iTunes
I have two more suggestions:
* When the title/artist is not available in Wnamp (wave files for example) song2nick automatically puts >> (!WAT) behind the nickname. (at least that's what I seem to notice) But the avatar isn't changed, so it remains at the last mp3 I was playing before the wave-file. Maybe this could be fixed?
* Being able to change the size of the font used in song2avatar would also be nice. And when this makes the title/artist too big to fit onto the avatar, it could be cut off to the max length available. Don't know if this is difficult to implement, but it's just a suggestion.
Grtz,
D@ffy
BTW: very nice work these last weeks, I really like the result!

Ok, thx already
Another bug though: (!XWPTITLE) and (!XWPBITRATE) don't work here. (in the chat window) Anyone else who can confirm this?
[edit]And yet another problem: when I stop and close Winamp, the avatar doesn't change. (remains at "playing") Couldn't you make a third avatar for when Winamp is stopped or closed with some text on it? (that the user can change preferrably) I know I'm giving you some work, but I suppose every suggestion helps. [/edit]

Even if I installed it correctly i can't make it work...
The option command won't work...it says that I'm not signed in and i am...When i enabled it via the command it says that the command isn't recognized....I will go insane.

RE: Song2Nick // WindowsMedia Player, MusicMatch Jukebox, Winamp 2,5 and iTunes
Im guessing this is a bug, how many "NOW PLAYING" images should i have in my display pic window lol
and often it will use the blank now playing image for my display pic till the next song starts
EDIT: i did fix it tho, after uninstalling plus and going into my Application Data folder and deleting the MSN Messnger folder lol
