Even a Dutch one?.... we Dutch people (and people from Belgium like you ) are much better in English than for example the French (I don't know about the Spanish) .. I don't really think it will be needed very much, but still it is a fine concept

you can create your own forums if you want, then ask Patchou to allow you to call them "official forums". The server: you have to pay/get one yourself. For example, in our case (spanish boards) the server belongs to KeyStorm (or to KeyStorm's boss, I don't remember) so he pays it.

that makes me remember a suggestion for this board. Would it be possible to add a link to the spanish/french/dutch/etc... forums in the english forums? WDZ? Patchou? I think that would be great, because the people who can't speak english and come to this page will find the url of the forums in their language.

But also remember that making an official Plus! forum demands much work. Just making one for the sake of it is NOT a good idea!

Firstly make sure there is actually a demand for it, so that it won't die out in a few months. Also, and this a very important part: make sure you can provide enough decent support for it: creating a forum and not knowing how to handle the questions/suggestions/problems/etc from the users, or providing insufficient or wrong support is very bad advertisement (not only for your board, but also for Messenger Plus! community!)....

Also, don't forget that there are some rules and pointers which you need to follow. Eg: Talking about other translations then the foreign one of the forum in the "Translation" forum is not encouraged as the translators will not attend every foreign forum and even maybe can't speak the language. The same goes with Messenger Plus! bugs, if one is reported in a foreign forum it has to be reported here also. Patchou can't go reading all the forums (and even understand all the languages).

We at the Spanish community saw before that many users were left out for having problems with English. And we have the luck of being the second most used translation (España + Latin). Make sure you can count with experienced users and the consent of Patchou. Or you will have to call it unofficial in order to match the specifications.
Other than this if you are on the way to open an international forum think of every detail before it happens.

Remember to share your knowledge: If there has been posted an unknown bug, you should notify it here. I'd suggest to do it this way:

This should be done by the authors of the quote themselves, but if they are not registered here or can't speak English, an admin should be the one who notifies it here (to avoid double reporting the same). You have make rules that control any of these irregularities. For example, change the threadname to "Reported: ..." when you bring anything here from your localised forum officially (ie. quoting the author like I just did).
