As Demandred said there are already many cracks/patches that get rid of the ad banner.

That banner crack was the primary reason I used MsgPlus 1 in the first place.  But if MsgPlus has grown past it so be it

I assure you that Microsoft never asked me to remove this option from Messenger. But again, they want Messenger 7 to start generating some real revenue for them and I'm not going to cause them troubles. There will always be other addons/patches to do that anyway so you'll always have an option, one way or the other.

You can find patches on http://www.mess.be/ to remove the banner.
Note that patching the executable of MSN/Windows Messenger is illegal.

Well , anyway it is a shame, that we don't have it more in the Messenger Plus
But still hoping for the option to be available  in the final version.
