I am looking for a plugin able to change the color of a nickname according to the sex of the contact. With a menu to choose the sex of the contact of course.


Does anybody know if there is one ?

There isn't one now currently. It could be made by you choosing what sex your contacts are but if you ask me it's pretty pointless.

You can already give em customnames with colour (MSN 7 Beta + Plus! beta for MSN 7 Beta). Just choose a colour you would like to use for male and another one for female.

Rightclick contactsname > plus extras > rename contact..in the screen that comes up give the contact a customname, and/or if you wanna keep the name they have put themselves name em (!N), highlight the part you wanna colour, hit ctrl+k..choose colour <enter>. All done

Yep you can do what Sunshine said but some of us are more lazy then others.

The Ctrl+K shortcut does not work, (Not for me anyway...)

I also tried (!FC#FB4FBE)(!N), that did not work either

Make sure its enabled: plus > preferences > instant messages > commands and tags..check "enable multi-format IRC style shortcuts"

Have you tried unticking it, exit MSN, restart MSN and tick it again?

you are not using messenger 7, the coloured nicknames are only available in messenger 7 and above.

I restarted it, ticked it off, restarted, ticked it on and restarted it again, and no luck...

In the contact list, but it should work in the chat window right?
