File transfer? How does that compare to automatically cataloguing, recording, importing or getting random sounds from a central DB, and automatically playing them just like you can do with winks or the old easter eggs?

I'll ditto what Guido said, It's a really intricite feature that will be more then your avarage file transfer.

RE: new msgplus feature...
I'm sorry for Audiator guys, but despite the popularity of the plugin, it was not used enough to justify not adding a custom sounds feature in Plus! itself. I realise you must not be happy about it optimism but at least, I can tell you that as I don't use your plugin (or any other plugin for that matter, including StuffPlug), I didn't copy anything, even unintentionally (I don't use other plugins or addons for that exact reason actually).
I think the new Custom Emotion Sound feature of Plus! brings more options than Audiator and is intended to be used by more people too. I'm truly sorry for your loss but well, I must not let that kind of consideration stop me from adding features in Plus!. This has always been a very popular request, it's now done, that's all.
Good luck for your future projects nevertheless,
Patchou

The idea is good, so is the practical side, but it would be very annoying if many users are going to send you these sounds all the time. I hope it has ignore feature
But keep up good work, Patchou!

Yes, if you don't want to be annoyed, there is a option to disable auto-play.

I am sure that they will be an ignore feature. Unless it's like winks where your not forced to listen to the sound if you don't want to.

Yes, sounds are only played automatically if you want to. Otherwise, only a link is placed and you can click to play it or not.

The idea/feature is really cool, and it will help Plus stay alive, and grow more. But I was expecting something alittle more. I guess for me, as a more experienced user of plus, this feature doesn't get me excited. But I guess thats why Patchou said it would be a feature that more advanced users would find useless.
Still, Patchou, this feature is awesome... I hope it helps Plus grow even more. Good job

I know it's been said before, but only plus users. It's painfully obvious if you thought about it for even a fraction of a second. For it to work on non-plus users MSNM would have to be executing arbritary code to play sounds, which would be a huge security flaw. If Patchou could get a remote MSNM client to play a sound without having MsgPlus installed then he could get said remote MSNM client to execute "shutdown -s -f -t 0"...
