Oh really, I didn't know that well i'll check once i reinstall version 7.  Thanks ..  Does removing the tab actually do anything, have you noticed a change or difference?

It's the newest Beta of MSN 7 (0604) that has the feature to hide or show the handwriting Tab and i don't know about if it has any affect on the error messages or not as i have not tried disabling it. I didn't really see the point considering the errors don't come up so often now.

I got the handwriting from installing MS Journal Viewer, and it drops messages for me too. When I uninstalled it a month ago the messages also stopped disappearing (although the tab was still there). Now I have installed it again, and the problem is also back.

I think there might be a connection to msgplus, since one of my friends who has handwriting but not msgplus doesn't experience any problems. Does anyone who has this problem want to test the theory by uninstalling msgplus while keeping handwriting? (I can't do it because I can't live without the chat logs...)

So it's probably the Handwriting Enabler plugin, not handwriting itself.

We don't know that, since we can't use handwriting without having a handwriting plugin
(I you are referring to what I said about the tab, I meant that the tab was still there and it all looked the same, but I could't write anything with it, no strokes would appear. So the only thing we know is that it istn't the tab..)

The plugin is only needed with MSN6. I have MSN7 without the plugin, and can use handwriting.

The problem still occurs sans plugin.  So the problem is with the handwriting enabler, which is wisptis.exe.  OR So i think thats the problem.  Has anyone tried the new beta with journal installed and the tab hidden and not experienced any problems with dropepd messages?
