Note however, that as powerful as Cell may be, PowerPC has been around for ages, developers are used to it, and so on. Xbox 360 will be, in my opinion, waaay easier for devs to program.

Also, with all the new hardware on the PS3, Cell, its graphics, a million connections, its also going to be more expensive than 360.

As always, its not the hardware thats kind - its the content. And I'm betting that the 360 content will be better than that of the PS3.

Local gameshop dude doesn't know what he's talking about. I doubt PS3 will be more expensive than Xbox 360 (if they want to be competetive).

if the rsx is based off the G70GL then it'll be around that price

GBP1 = AU$2.5? I see why you say $1700 now.
Still, £700 is a lot of money. AU$1000 sounds about right for a top-of-the-line GeForce (over £400), but I doubt a console will retail for around £700. They tend to retauil for £300 on release here in the UK.

Mind you, there's only one place to get the actual retail price: Sony Computer Entertainment.

The playstation 3 will be too much money...

Either way, I hate sony, always will, XBOX will always be my choice.
