O.P. Undecided  Disbale the event logger
Hi

I have a small inquiry. I want to completely disable the event logger, but apparently this is not possible... At least i can't seem to be able to do it. Anyone who knows what to do, or if this is just not possible to disable? If it's not, this would perhaps be nice to include in the next update.
Thanks:D

There is no real way to disable Event Logging. There isn't even a registry hack to do it. When Patchou comes back from Japan I will talk to him about this.

hu? If he disables
Plus! > Preferences > Logging > Event Logging > Record all Messenger events in a file
and
Plus! > Preferences > Logging > Event Logging > display all messenger events in a window
there wont be any trace of event logging, no?

But nothing is logged....

I can't see the problem here though... What is so bad about it?

privacy is the problem. You can read the usingpattern of any user in your list... and others can get to it.

Nothing is saved to the hard drive though. And the info in the window is wiped when you sign out.
Then again, if it's recording nothing, what's the problem?

I'm sorry, but i'm not looking to argue on the matter. All I wanted was an answer to whether it's gonna be possible ti disable completely or not. I think it's weird that a function like this just HAS to be switched on at all moments. And for my on personal sake, I dislike as I have a computer that runs day and night always logged on. I am aware of the fact that nothing is saved, but that's not good enough when i'm logged in for weeks at a time....

So do what Cookie suggested, and stop it recording anything.
