I've actually planned to put up a comparsion between these two patches, so the differences is clear to everyone, I just haven't walked that road yet... (Re-installing Messenger, trying out both patches and re-configuring and re-reschacking my Messenger back to the settings I have now doesn't feel too fun... ) I'm pretty sure that if there are any differences, it will be pro A-Patch.

btw, anyone can explain me these options better?

I think the best plugin for that you can include is:

It gives useful setting panel where you can change title/artist informations too

If you can, please add the ability to remove clickable link on now playing, it's present in mess patch and I think it's very useful (no reasons to buy song, if i'm playing it I already got it eheheh)
maybe you can replace the link on other contacts now playing with somethink like "automatic message asking to send that song"

A few suggestions:

Can you add to "Shorten Status Info in Info Bar" the ability to reduce also the message when you open a contact window when you're invisible ""<p>It's not possible to send or receive message because your status is offline or invisible. Click here to go online"
(sorry i'm translating from italian).

Also, I can confirm a bug, after you apply a-patch it's not possible to click on yellow bar links anymore (like "Click here to go online").

Always in the same option please change
"Contact status is set to" and "contact is offline" with the name of contact, you just need to replace the word "contact" with "%1" in the msglang.dll

I think it's better

****Little update****
I managed a while with yellow status bar informations and I made these changes:

60 - %1 is locked.
61 - <p>Remember you are Invisible</p>
62 - %1 is %2
63 - <p>%1 is Offline.</p>

I think it's the best way to use one line only for every info message. Sorry for my english but i'm translating from italian messenger manually

The Shorten Status doesn't work 100% for me...

When a user has set the status to something it works fine, but if he goes offline, the yellow bar is empty! (see attached file)

I prefer to have the texts in Norwegian, and when I use ResHacker and the instructions Grue posted in the thread you linked too, I find that these lines are not in String Table > 4 > 1033, but in String Table > 4 > 1044. The text in line 63 after patching it is:

The weird thing is that line 62 works fine, even if it is String table > 4 > 1044, but not 63. Any suggestions?

Note: I have not checked the dll-file with ResHacker before patching, that may give me a hint....
Edit: I checked the unpatched dll-file now, and the original text is located between <p> and </p>. A text after </p> regarding a cell phone number for the contact is not shown in the yellow bar, even if it shows up in the dll-file... The specific text does not show up in any other string in the dll-file. *Patching again, and reshacking to Norwegian + adding the <p> and </p>*
Edit2: The added <p> and </p> did not do the trick....

61 and 62 works fine. 63 doesn't work - see above. Also 60 doesn't work for me. I recieve another text on the yellow bar than the one originally in line 60. I've searched for it with ResHacker, and found it in String Table > 5 > 1044 > 73.

Now I am confused...

Suggestion for the next version of A-Patch:
Enable the Always-on-top button in conversation windows without forcing the user to remove the MSN-logo. This is possible, I've tested it with MessPatch.

Just updated my MSN and MSG Plus but the link to Apatch is broken and all of the un-necessary stuff is annoying me! Please help..

My popup blocker stops the popups on .tk addresses. When they are blocked, the site doesn't load. Kinda like a catch-22. So disable your popup blocker or try the link above.

Thanks for a great patch Ahmad! I was so tired of MSN messenger taking up my entire screen due to all buttons, tabs and what-not. Now I have trimmed it down to this:

The last thing I need to get rid of is the tabs in the main window, the groups. You can change the order, but you can't remove them completely. Being able to do that would be awsome!
