How far do you get during POST?
Do you get any error messages?

If you update the firmware of the BIOS then resetting the CMOS isn't going to fix it. You either have to contact Asus about it and send the board (or just the chip in that needs to be flashed) or find the original BIOS firmware.
Where did you get this firmware from, I didn't see your model on the listing that is from Asus on their site so...

If the PC just turns on but displays nothing and doesn't even POST then hes going to have to send it in to Asus and have them reflash it. Should be covered under warranty if it was their BIOS update that screwed it up.

RE: need help (updated BIOS, comp won't boot)
This happened to one of our computers. It was doing a BIOS update, and my sister clicked something she shouldn't. PC froze, and it "fried" the BIOS.
Before assuming, try the following things (these are what I was told to):
Clear the CMOS (you never know).
Run the BIOS restore disk (the flash program should have given the option to make one prior to the flashing.
Assuming neither of the above worked, the BIOS is dead. You can send your board off for a replacement BIOS, or you can purchase a new one and solder it on yourself (although this requires skill, as you must make sure the solder iron does not touch the board or any or any other parts - if you fail, you have to buy a new board anyway).
However, when I checked these options for my board, the cost of both, wasn't far from a new board, so i got a new board.

block out
Do you mean black out? If not then talk to Asus and say that after flashing your BIOS your computer wouldn't boot they may replace the board for you... although you already bought another one. But other then that if it was a blackout then there would be nothing they can do.
