O.P. Blueyonder broadband question
I've had blueyonder broadband for a while now and i'm starting to realise the IP is changing. I had a different one at the start of the month than i did right now...i thought broadband IP's didnt change? I havent unplugged my computer either from the broadband.
Any idea why this happens? Does it change regularly? Anyone else on blueyonder?
It's not really a problem just a curiousity of mine so thanks for the responses

Sometimes poeple have a dynamic IP address, this means that your IP will change every now and again

Np and yeah it probably is slightly safer, would be nice to be told though , especially if you play multiplayer games but it would be pointless to tell everyone lol, then you get people calling tech support saying Whats an IP!

Safer sometimes, but not for the poor sap that gets your old IP. Especially if you got an enemy online.

RE: Blueyonder broadband question
With blueyonder, if you don't reset your modem (power cycle it) or phone them and ask them to carry out maintenance on your line you will be able to keep the same IP address for longer. Or, at least, that's what I've found.

I tried a few months ago to try and change my IP. I turned it off on the wall and left it over night but couldnt change it. I never figured out how to do it. Whats power cycling?
