Windows live messenger is not meant to be used by the public. It is a private beta and should/can be used (legally) by official microsoft testers who have been admitted to the windows live messenger beta testing program
I suggest you remove windows live messenger (since you are not an official beta tester) and you work with msn messenger 7.5 till an update is released
All messenger updates are available at http://messenger.msn.com and that is the site that should be refered to for the latest version
