Like i said in the other topic:

Accept it and log into http://ideas.live.com/mainpage.aspx

It will say...
quote:
Welcome, <NAME>
Thanks a lot for being part of Windows Live Ideas. You're a member of following invitation only beta(s):
  • Windows Live™ Messenger beta

Then you're sure you are on the invite only beta. You'll know when you're in the managed beta anyway since you'll get access to Connect and private newsgroups then.
Finish the problem

You don't get my question, do you?
Let's put it this way: Why did I receive a( n) (invite) mail to join the bčtatesters? Why me? I didn't apply somewhere, and I didn't ask someone for an invite...

I do get it, though I might have misinterpreted it :p (be a bit more clear next time ;))

Your question was "how?", not "why?" and since ipab already asked if you were in the beta chat and you didn't answered him I assumed you were and that was that.

anyways,

- Someone send you an invite
- You are already part of some other (beta) program
- You have been in contact with MSN before (bug report, (beta) chat, whatever)
- A mixup has occured
- Microsoft feels you're very special

edit: @ipab: oops :$ corrected

seems like my theory doesn't hold, many other people who were in the beta chat yesterday didn't get an invite like me. Perhaps it might have been a random selection out of the beta chat members.

offtopic:
cookie its ipab :p

no, probably a beta tester gave them the link to the chat and the password to get into it.

It can only be the first (Someone send you an invite) or the last (Microsoft feels you're very special), since I didn't join a beta program and I didn't contact MSN.
Let's hope for the last then. :P

Btw, I wasn't in the beta chat. :)
