RE: MsgPlus Live chatlogs...
No one but Patchou can actually answer that at present moment.
I know hes moved to XML logs though, which really shouldn't take much more resources than the .txt ones anyways

RE: MsgPlus Live chatlogs...
the announcement says "in addition to plaintext..."
so yes...
and it's XHTML according to the same announcement....personally I prefer the plain text one better, Messenger has an XML one already, and it's not good at all.

The Messenger XML one may suck, but XHTML logs will look really good, since XHTML is just a newer version of HTML.

Alright thanks everyone. The reason why I was wondering is because I'm already used to my text logs. And I wouldn't want some log files to be text and the others to just be XHTML blah. yeah, It would just have to be one or the other.
Would the XHTML log files be able to few on a persons computer without msgplus?

Yes (as long as you include the style sheet and graphics files needed). It's just like saving a webpage with your browser and sending that to somebody else.

I think (though I might be wrong) what he fairs for is that you wouldn't be able to open a chat log anymore with a simple texteditor (well you can, but you wouldn't only see simple text which you can copy/paste and read thru)...
And that is also what I wouldn't like; I mean that text logging would be totally dismissed. No matter how nice the layout would be, I still prefer simple text files for chat logs instead of a whole bunch of code and a "special" viewer to look at it...

RE: MsgPlus Live chatlogs...
It would make sense for Patchou making them viewable through simple text imo.
The only reason i'd be for the new and improved chat-logs is because sometimes I confuse the name with the text and so forth, so making them stand out from each other would be good.
However, I am (as Cookie and a few others are) still wanting to view them in a simple txt editor such as Notepad for simplicity.

Don't worry, the option for plain text logging is still here, with the same options than before. Those of you who are beta testers will have to remember to properly test it though as I didn't spend too much time on it msyelf .
