i get notifications of ppl opening a conversation when they are actually offline

does it mean they r appearin offline
or does it mean that its msn retrieving some information dp etc

i'm pretty sure that means that they are appearing offline, or perhaps they have blocked you.  Try asking them

yeah, I think messenger's not able to retrieve anything if you are really offline

Am having a serious problem here...

The moment a toast appears about an opened convo, WLM crashes!!

Btw, there are only 3 scripts installed on my WLM, they are:

1) Mute
2) IPGet
3) Live Notifier

I've disabled Live Notifier, and NO problem appeared whatsoever with the other two, they work smoothly. So its not them anyways!

Is it Live Notifier, or is it just me?

Already mentioned, but this is a ridiculously long thread, so I'll let you off.  For some people, this script causes WLM to crash.  If this is the case, you can use convo notifier which is somewhere in this thread, might be the first post.  This does pretty much the same thing, but doesn't have the unfortunate side-effect of crashing messenger

edit: I can't find the link to convo notifier - anyone know where it is?

I've already got the Convo notifier from the database, and works like a charm

I created Japanese language support file for Live Notifier.

The file should be ..\\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live\Scripts\Live Notifier\Translations\  with unzip.

You can chose Japanese.xml in setting menu.

Japanese contact name may be a garbage but it is no matter  from language support file.

love this script. I have been waiting for it.

unfortunately it causes WLM to crash, so I got the older version as suggested. I must say the older version is more than satisfactory. The only thing I would like that is the notifications being added to the event viewer (can't be looking to the screen all the time)

real funny

some of us have lifes other than sitting across a computer and looking to the screen constantly.. oh and have you heard about dsl and cable internet? the stuff that allows you to be constantly connected to the internet but not necessarily meaning to sit across the computer 24/7 ?
