Shoutbox

Idea thought by me & FineWolf:

Only people that has done over 150 posts can post in the shoutbox?

I dislike this idea

There's people that could post there and not be newbies asking for help.

Also, better skining support for the shoutbox please... I did manage to get my theme the way I wanted it to look, but using Firefox's user.css.

Means they should have learnt to stop spamming by then

Not too sure about the 125 but I agree there should be some sort of limit. That way it just stops people registering just to use it as a chatroom to talk to their friends while at school :/

The main question: why?

If it is to control spammers, then so what? It is a shoutbox, not a forum thread or whatever. Also, if one really wants to spam, they then go creating a forum account and start posting like hell to reach x posts. This is even worse...

You don't need to be registered to be able to post in the shoutbox... And if that was a requirement, then people would simply register to the forum just to be able to post in the shoutbox, making the userdb even bigger with useless 0-posts accounts...
