Yeah we have a firewall called fortinet and its damn annoying,
It blocks a history site saying "pornographic images"

Also I showes teahcers how to do this (using moo.thedt.net to make mine faster) and they gave me an accomindation!

Ine my school, someone finds a proxy and goes 'ooo i gotz dis site dat can get us onto myspace and bebo' and everyone goes on it and then it gets blocked in like a week.

me on the other hand use one proxy that no one else knows and it hasn't yet been blocked =D
(i have to use a freaking proxy to get to the forums, i can't see why it would have been blocked )

jees, why do ict departments suck ass all the time. my mate used his mp3 player, the usb sticky kind, as a memory stick, with his courseowrk among the mp3's.... the technicians pulled him up and banned him because having the mp3s was against copyright or whatever...

he got his dad involved (fraud officer) and threatened them with legal shit if he wasnt unbanned (because not being allowed computer access may cause him to do badly in his gcse's or something)

but the main point was he didnt open or touch the mp3's on the school computer... so WTF!

If it isn't technically a school laptop he has no right whatsoever to keep it. Take your parents to school and demand your things back .

Where is the dodgy part? 10 minutes is enough to take a look at a PC and see what it runs. But more likely, I think they didn't even turn on your laptop in the first place... taking your stuff is just one of these lame methods to punish students. The idea is probably that you get it back together with a long boring story on how evil you are and that you should never do it again.

Our school computers suck way to much. And plus, I have only been on the computers less than 3 hours this year, and I spent all of it typing stuff up...and checking My Bright Corner , and our video cards suck too much...
