Microsoft started with Plus! in their product called Windows Plus!. It contained screensavers, themes, etc. I think that's where Patchou got it.

Now I'm wondering if I'm allowed to use "Talk Plus!" as the name of my own product. If you want to know, it would be the new name of my Google Talk extension.

Should I mail Patchou about it, he doesn't seem to answer my other mails?

Is "Plus!" copyrighted, am I allowed to use it? Copyrights and stuff are my bad sides..

The word Plus! isn't copyrighted, so i think you can use it....

Even if I can use it, I want someone to accept me. I don't think I just can take it and use it, even though it's copyright.

The word Plus! in conjunction with Talk isn't copywritten. The word Plus and or Plus! in conjunction with Windows and Messenger Live is copywritten. You are free to use it without infringing on copyrights however I would say for the sake of Patchou find another name you don't want people thinking he developed it to do you?

There has come so many products called Plus (without !) so I think it's ok.

For the sake of Patchou, find me another name!

It is your product though, so you might name it however you want despite what people think.

But maybe you should mail patchou again (he gets a lot of emails and wont always be able to answer them and/or some might slip his attention and/or blocked by his spamfilters and/or whatever...)?

I have mailed Patchou but no answers yet.. If he absolutly not want me to use it, I'll change in code.
