I was reading the news today... and I am impacted that another leaked messenger was found... MVPs involved in this must be very very mad about it... I hope that find who did it... is very unsecure to have this things ridding all over the internet with the risk of faking it... and developing things bad for its official release... I have the file but I will not installed until I talk to some MVP friends...

I will try the new 8.5 when I get the link in my connect available list... not now...

Dunno, i backed up 8.1 before installing 8.5

Note: I don't intend to support an internal private beta version of WLM and because it doesnt add anythign new, I dont see any reason why any of you would want to install it .

Pfft, the contest works on it... that's all people use for the next 3 coming weeks anyway .

I copied msimg32.dll to the new folder, and MP!L works again.
But I can't see the colored nicknames in a conversation...
Is it the same w/ you guys?
And sharing folders are weird... Are they with you too?

Yes like people said before, far from every feature will work properly. There is no point in reporting all the features that don't work. If you want a working Plus!, get 8.1... if you want 8.5, fine, but you're on your own.

Found a way to make Stuff Plug work:
Copy msacm32.dll from your C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger folder to the new Live Messenger folder  (C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger) =D

If only those dodgy Spanish sites wouldn't wrap their spammy custom installer around it we would have believed it a lot sooner .

Hmm.. Keep inmind that 8.0 did have a couple of skin changes during the beta.
