guess there not actually doing anything wrong, but thought i'd mention it, see if patchou wants to contact them ?!

apparently the site just redirects to the official download link.

Hmm, still dodgy showing the paid SMS thing while they redirect to the download without paying.
Anyway, there is another site that is really charging for Plus!:

Besides Plus! they have loads and loads of other freeware and trial software which they all charge for http://uk.criptosoft.com/. I reported them to Google (because the were using AdWords to advertise their site) and Patchou has been trying to get them down too, but no luck so far.
Maybe we have more luck trying it all together complaining to their hoster, Google, or the company they use for their payments, or some people could inform some of the creator of the other apps being sold there, i'm sure they wont be happy about it either. Just play by the rules and don't DDoS them or something  .

Actually, what they do is offer the official download link, but if it happens to be down or you like their servers better they charge you 4 USD approx. to download it from them....
The criptosoft one is worse, they don't even offer the official link...

This still constitutes copyright infringement, they do not have resale permission for Messenger Plus! Live. I have contacted both websites and informed them that selling Messenger Plus! Live is not authorized and to please remove the links. Don't worry, I threw in a disclaimer that says I am not an official representative of Messenger Plus! Live and dont own legal rights to it, blah blah blah. I did cite the laws nicely for them though . It is important that anyone emailing these people or anyone related to them informs them they are not official Messenger Plus! Live Reps or anything and ensure you're respectful of them...We dont want to give Plus! a bad name, even if they are infringing  .

Yeah I tried to contact Patchou about it, but yet again he ignored me  (probs cos he is busy but ok..) And then I contacted MenthiX about it etc. |

lol, I don't ignore anybody, I just can't always reply to everything.
There are now several companies doing this and so far, none of them ever replied to my emails. I have other more important things to work on (like updates) but I'll keep an eye on them.
