Patchou, I'm actually afraid of the fact that I will not be able to use plus! with msn messenger 6. :'(

If I had my way I'd stay with the setup I have now but I know my bro will want to download msn messenger 6 just for the new emoticons it offers. :(

So please Patchou don't give up.

I absolutely love plus! and really appreciate ALL the work you've put into it. I'm totally impressed as well that you're able to create such a program that everyone can use.

If I were ever to meet you in a pub I'd buy you a few beers. (b)

THANKYOU FOR EVERYTHING and don't give up trying

Uninstall Plus and when reinstalling Plus be sure to choose not to install the sponsor in the agreement dialog. Offtopic, btw...

<still offtopic then>

Doesn't help ;)
There still are still some files left on your HD with the program in...
Just search and delete the right key in your register (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run) and delete the stuff in the same folder you found the path to that program...

The fact is, that little proggy doesn't bother me at all (the only thing I get is a little popup after a reboot and some 404 pages are replaces by lop.com... So What??), so I didn't delete it ;)
If I can support Patchou with it, why not? :d
I Love MSN+, and I think Patchou deserves this one!!

BTW I really want that (sound) notification when msn+ detects new mail :p [hint hint]

Hi Patchou (and the rest of you)
I don't have the time to read all the posts in this thread right now, so I might be repeating something already said. I totally admire your hard work on Msg+ and hope you'll find it interesting enough to keep the development up. This is a great plugin!

But I have a few comments about the sponsor program. I'm still running .35 but I just installed .36 on a friends computer. Before I realized it I had installed what looked like spyware on his computer that put in an extra toolbar, shortcuts on his desktop and so on. Needless to say, he got pretty pissed. It seemed very intrusive so I immediately uninstalled it again and installed .35 on his machine.

I really want to support you, but the sponsor thing is not the right way for me. In newer versions it needs to be very clear that this sponsor program is going to be installed, otherwise people will feel cheated. You are very open about your intentions in this forum, you just need to extend that openness to the homepage and the installation process so people have a clear choice. You wouldn't want Msg+ to have a spyware reputation.
Personally, I would rather just donate through Paypal (10$ so far) and not have the advertising.

lol bering...

The latest release 36a is very clear about that ;) (and it isn't spyware :p it's just an ad proggy)

Well, my point is: it's not very clear on the homepage... and that it's "just an ad proggy" might not be clear to people that do not visit this forum and that don't know so much about computers.

Well, you just have to choose not to install the sponsor, and if you can/want/whatever, donate.
