2 of my friends also have this too.

They are idiots and don't read that 1) Block checkers do not work and 2) Did not read the TOS.

.NET Passport Policy: By using this service you optin receiving email advertising from blockdelete.com. Your messenger contacts will receive an advertising message from you when you use this service.

It's not a _virus_ per say. But the only way to fix this is to tell your friends to change their password I suppose.

Well some of the "smarter" ones also come with a vague message...so you might wanna ask some specific questions as to what it is...and if they don't respond, chances are that they are NOT sending it.

Aproximately 30 out of my 1700~ contacts now (more than one account), now have that problem, and they've attempted to change their passwords but that isn't working, they believe it to be something actually on their computer.

Site Advisor info
Now I know site advisor can be inaccurate at times but it still can be used as a basic guide.
If only I knew what I should put here

If they were going to have that initiative, they'd have a million websites blacklisted and would have to continuasly update the protocol. This is why they've added the security feature to disable links via the options panel.
