Look at more designs for popular 'web2' sites I still think the expression is flung around everywhere these days but most of the popular sites dubbed as web2 are simple to navigate and have simple buttons and layout. Not blueprint diagrams.
Although I do like the concept you've done on the log on window I think the options etc are all far too spaced out and doesn't lend itself to a 'web2' style.
I think that idea could be developed further into say for example a circuitry skin, where everything is linked together as if it was a circuit diagram or blueprint, if really thought about it could be very geeky cool
Like opening a group in contact list looks like it turns on a switch in a parallel circuit or something
