Hmm fair enough I guess, but as for currency, it's the same principle just less money.

Xbox 360 when it comes to online play it is far superior and works a lot better, i know people talk of this RROD, personally i haven't had a RROD in the 6 months that i have owned my Xbox 360, personally i prefer Xbox 360 because of its online play with games like CoD4 and its extreme superiority in the amount of games available

It's not the amount of games which matter, it's the quality. Regardless, 360 games are far superior in terms of quality/gameplay.

Mass Effect (Amazing sci-fi RPG game)
Lost Odyssey (this game hasn't been spoken of much, but it is an awesome game - one of the best RPGs I've played in a long time)

Yeah but lets face it, the xbox 360 has been out far longer than the PS3 so there have been more games developed. IIRC the same thing happened to the original xbox!

I have played both consoles and both consoles have their own quirks about them.

I have an Xbox 360 Elite. My friend has a Playstation 3. Both consoles are superior in certain aspects. Before I get into that someone pointed out that the Xbox hard drive is smaller compared to the PS3 and there is no HDMI. The Elite comes with HDMI and HDMI Cable as well as a 120GB hard drive, now that isn't to say that everyone is going to go and buy an Elite however when you consider the PS3 you can get the hard drive in a wide range from 20-80GB. However as of July of 2007 Xbox 360 Premium consoles come with an HDMI port. So both consoles in retrospect have the same thing going for them however the Playstation 3 has a wider range of consoles available.

Features I like about the PS3 over the 360 is its backwards compatibility however I am not sure if I like their move into software emulation for PS/PS2 games I much prefer the game to be driven by hardware (less room for error in my opinion). The 360 does provide backwards compatibility however from my experience in order to play older games you need to download patches, what happens if the unit isn't online how would you then be able to play your original games?

I really like the idea of the Playstation 3's built-in battery into their controllers that you charge through USB. It will save money in the long run instead of having to purchase AA batteries for your 360 wireless controller.

I find that loading time from the 360 is vastly faster then that of the PS3.

Overall it is a tough call to make. (Don't get me wrong there are loads of features that I like with the 360). It depends on what you truly plan on doing with it once you have beaten the game. PS3 does have a blue ray player (but what is the sense if you don't have an HD tv?) Xbox has more game titles available.

You can always buy the Play & Charge Kit (comes with rechargeable battery pack), it may be overpriced (at least it is here) but it is much, much more convenient - no play downtime whatsoever.
