I still think the Xbox 360 is better than the PS3 I don't know why I've never been a Sony fan lol.

just get it on a lan?
Could work - depends on the network. I seem to have problems streaming really large files. A 10GB movie certainly wouldn't work - but then my router does suck.

Have you tried Winamp's orb? It works great for me.

Whoever said Resident Evil 5 for the PS3 is stupid, it's coming out for the 360 too.

The only reason Sony is choosing to lose money on the PSN is because they're fighting a battle which they can't afford to lose, just don't expect your current standards to last.
I give to you Exhibit A:

The PS3 update firmware update version 2.4 was recalled just hours after its release, after gamers reported that the installation crashed their consoles.
Users said the problem affected all models of the PS3 and caused glitches ranging from microphones not working to games "freezing" before they loaded.
...
Technology website Kotaku said affected PS3 consoles may be fixed by reformatting the hard drive - a move which would erase the owner's data, including saved games and user profiles.
Good to know it was thoroughly tested before mass distribution. Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for.

I've never seen that with a 360 update iirc.

Sony is replacing the ps3's for free, even without warranty. How long did it take for microsoft to awknowledge the problem of the red ring of death? You tell me.

Although Sony made a mess of the update, Steven has a point that the Ring of Death issue is much worse. My friend has gotten though 2 elites, which are meant to be immune to the problem. I think Microsoft are just refurbishing old units and releasing them as new again .

There's no denying that first generation consoles did have a high fail rate, but what people are failing to understand is that the fail rate of the later generations are much lower. Of course no one will ever remember that.
