never buy acer. if it idled at 70C, your sensor was broken, you had one dirty laptop or defective.

Still, like I said it's up to me what I buy
And it's up to us to warn you, since you decided to made this embarassing decision public lol. Nice way to ruin some money.

But it looks like shit.
RIGHT, that must be why Alienware does not dominate the laptop market. DOH!
Lets put it this way :
Alienware = Overpriced with an alien skull, some lights and a wannabe design.
Vaio = Overpriced with no alien skull, good looking design.
Most brands = Reasonably priced, no skull, different lights and good looking design.
I hope you enjoy your laptop but I also would like to think that futurely you'd handle money more wisely. Especially, money that is not yours.
Hm... I posted 100 words, of which 9 were about Vaio laptops and 0 were about performance / quality. Congratulations on argueing about 0% of my post lol. Nice rhetoric there, cowboy.

RE: Which one?
Nathan, you sure could spend as much as you want on whatever you want to buy. But its really stupid on your part paying so much money for those specs. Thats just wasting money as you could get something equivalent or better, both in terms of specs and performance/quality, than that for a much lower price. This way you're just spending more than required and thats literally wasting.
And what else but stupid should I call someone who pays almost double of the actual cost? That still counts even if you're Warren Buffett. Money needs to be spent carefully, even if you're filthy rich.

RE: Which one?
I have to point out, that buying any sort of high end Intel processor at this point is silly what with Nehalem coming out in October / November... =\
And rated battery life is never correct. With the power draw that that laptop will have, you'll be looking at a seriously chunky battery for 4 hours.
Me, I've just spent £400 on a whim for an Eee with a VX Revolution, WD 250GB Passport and 2GB RAM for it, so I can't really say anything about dodgy spending.

Several things:
1) It does not have two graphics card - it has one. The Intel thing is a built in chipset and hence is not actually a graphis card
2) You have to reboot to switch modes, which is a pain in the arse (my HP has this "feature") - especially since the Intel graphics suck so hard.
3) According to reviews I read it gets 2-3 hours on low power mode, which makes much more sense. My Eee has a 30W power supply, and hence must draw a lot less power. The battery is a 6600mAhr, and it maxes out around 5hrs 30.
Edited footnote: Do not believe what a products forum members say, ever. They are on that products forum because they are fan bois. Head over to Mac forums to see what I'm on about
