i have done a lot of scan using avg, spybot search and destroy, microsoft safety care and trendmicro and it picks messenger plus for windows live messenger Version 2009 Build 14.0.5027.908 on windows XP service pack 3 as a virus and adware this is what it says for description of problem:

MessengerPlus is an add-on for MSN Messenger that adds additional features to the program. unfortunately, MessengerPlus also includes (in its default Installation), C2Media, aka Lop.com. This C2Media software will generate a large number of popup and pop-under adverts when in stalled on your PC. it can also severly degrade the performance of your PC.  In the Registry Key it picked up these

MsgPlus. Encrypted
HKCR\MsgPlus.Encrypted

DefaultIcon
HKCR\MsgPlus.Encrypted\DefaultIcon

Shell
HKCR\MsgPlus.Encrypted\shell

MsgPlus.SoundPack

and when tabbing chats into one window it only shows the one conversation the other tab is in the window as a line under the menu bar. can someone fix this

Unfortunately that's not true, you have to explicitly select to or not to install the sponsor. And the sponsor for Plus! is a customized sponsor, it's kinda lightweight.

As for the registry keys, they're associating Plus! with encrypted log files and sound packs (and probably script packs) so that those files, when you open them, can be opened/handled/processed by Plus! .

I don't understand what needs fixing... That sounds like it's working as it should... Would you care to post a screenshot?

From the sounds of it he expects the feature to enable you to run multiple chats side by side in the same window
