O.P. "Private sound emoticon" isn't private!
I thought that, activating the funcion "private sound emoticon" at Messenger Plus!, when I play a sound emoticon, it won't send to my friend, but unfortunatelly wasn't this that happened. The sound was enviated to my friend, anyway.

So, i'd like to know if have some thing that I could do to play sound emoticon to my friends but i don't want that my friend receive the sound that i'm playing.

So... If the "private sound emoticon" doesn't work, could be considerate a bug? Because if this funtion was to "private the sound emoticon to only plays, don't send", it isn't working.

That option hides the sound when other users are looking for new sounds stored in the sounds servers, so, it is not a bug.

AFAIK there is no way (yet?) of sending a sound to someone without it being added to that person's Sound Library, so I guess what you're asking is impossible. It might be a good feature to suggest though, but perhaps there's a reason it hasn't been implemented yet if someone's already thought of it.

In order for your contact to play the sound it must first be send to your contact. This goes for every type of interaction between you and somebody else.
eg: Your contact can't see your display picture if the graphics data is not first send to his computer.
And because it is send and recieved, it can also be stored.

Otherwise, how would the computer of your contact know what to play? It wouldn't have anything to play. In order to hear something, the computer needs the sound to play.

eg: A radio station can not be listened too if it doesn't broadcast its sound.

Even if Plus! would not directly allow to store the sound in the sound library, your contact would still recieve the sound data to his computer and would still be able, by other means (eg: a network sniffer), to store it.

Bottom line: you can not share something with somebody else without giving that somebody that something.

If you want to hear it, without them hearing it, then use the preview mode in the sound window:

You also use the play feature in the main sound library:
