The reason it's happening is because part of the skin is the black text area.

You mean, the background change? It's because of the skin: it remaps that chat rectangle background to the whole window.

Você quer dizer o plano de fundo? É porque a capa remapea o background daquele retângulo pra janela completa.

Name of the skin is Stealth ^ ^ for msn 2009
