In your contacts list press Alt to show the menubar and go to: Help > About Messenger. The full buildnumber is useful.

For example to show the Messenger icon in the systray when you're using Windows 7.
- Besides Plus!, are you using any other Messenger patches or add-ons?
Like A-Patch/MessPatch/SweetIM.
