well if you have problems with MsgPlus while using Matrix Skin you can do 2 things:
1) try restarting plus.... or restarting the messenger, when this happens to me..... restarting the Plus! is enough

2)replace the original one by the skin, i mean by renaming both....:
msnmsgr.exe -> msnmsgr_original.exe
matrixskin.exe -> msnmsgr.exe

the renamed matrix skin must be put in the default messenger folder
