you can still use the /sconfig command.

if not, go to the preferences panel (plus > preferences) and select the section: instant messages , subsection: commands & tags. There you have to select Allow sound commands. In the section: General Options , subsection: sound be sure you have enalbed plus sounds while busy.

That should do.
