The version of LOP installed with Plus! is indeed quite limited & stripped down, but it does hijack your IE settings & has the possibility of updating itself & opening you up to security concerns.
Always choose No when asked to install the sponsor program. With the newer LOP versions bundled in, removal can be quite hard, nay well-nigh impossible for those who don't know all the ins & outs of Windows (& I mean
detailed knowledge). If anything goes wrong, the
sponsor removal procedure detailed by Patchou may not work, though it's usually the best way.
