which version of msn 7 beta are you using?
as far as i am concerned it should work with all the beta's UP TO - 7.0.632

i have not been able to find any free software which could fix your problem. on the site i posted, there is a 30 day trial.
hopefully somebody else has a better idea of why it does not work for you, and why you get that error message. i'm very confused, sorry i cannot help you
