Actually I found my freeze had something to do with Display Pictures... or at least that is what I was told....
Earlier in this thread someone gave a URL with instructions on how to reset everything for MSN.... do go to this "%appdata%\Microsoft" folder and then delete the entire MSN MEssenger Folder.... then restart MSN... and that fixed my problem.
I notcied that it only fixed my problem if i deleted the folder while msn was running and then restarted it.... its strange... but that worked for me...
