RE: Msn Messenger 7.0.0813
beerbro, thats against the agreement..
oh yeh, and it is completly real
fyi: here is a article i wrote for http://www.universallance.com
quote: The Msn team are currently working on a QFE (Quick Fix Engineering) patch, or hot fix patch. The Patch, which updates the version number to 7.0.0813(Wait! Weren’t 814 a joke? Is it just me?) is the first hot fix patch to be released by the Msn team, and it has sure has had some affect on the performance of messenger.
The patch has been released only to some selected beta testers, although it is rumoured to be released soon. I have had the privilege, as a beta tester, to try it out, and I would say that it has improved the overall speed of messenger. Signing-in is a lot quicker, and contact list scrolling is also smoother.
Other changes made by the patch are that it has updated the file block list. These are now 72 filenames that are hard built into the exe file. They are the following:
code: ade, adp, app, asp, bas, bat, cer, chm, cmd, com, cpl, crt, csh, exe, fxp, hlp, hta, inf, ins, isp, its, js, jse, ksh, lnk, mad, maf, mag, mam, maq, mar, mas, mat, mau, mav, maw, mda, mdb, mde, mdt, mdw, mdz, msc, msi, msp, mst, ops, pcd, pif, prf, prg, pst, reg, scf, scr, sct, shb, shs, tmp, url, vb, vbe, vbs, vsd, vsmacros, vss, vst, vsw, ws, wsc, wsf, wsh.
It’s nice to see they have removed mp3 files from the list.
