here is another email they sent me:
Hello,
Thank you for your response. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue
may have caused. Gmail often doesn't function properly while some
third-party security and/or anti-virus applications are enabled. Our
engineers are working diligently to find a solution to this problem.
In the meantime, we suggest disabling Microsoft Anti Spyware, AdAware, and
Xoftspy for testing purposes, clearing your browser's cache, and
attempting to log in to Gmail again.
If disabling this software resolves the problem, but you'd still like to
use it in conjunction with Gmail, you may want to contact Microsoft,
AdAaware, and/or Xoftspy support teams for help customizing your settings
so you can still access your Gmail account after reenabling the software.
If you continue to experience difficulties after following the above
steps, please respond to this message and we'll investigate the issue
further.
