Thst's what happens on my old computer. It has integrated graphics, and I have also installed a PCI graphics card (there is no AGP slot). In the BIOS setup, it lets me choose which to use, both isn't an option. The integrated graphics processor seems not to have its own RAM though, if I pick it, it asks me how much normal RAM to dedicate to graphics.
