I doubt there is ever some comprehensive test done like that. Some test and/or people will say browser X will use the most resources, another will say browser Y. It highly depends on what sites you're using for the comparisson and stuff...
Anyways, if you simply want an address bar (and a go button; which you don't need since you can press enter also
), why not simply edit your browser preferences so only that is shown?
