Some of my friends are on NTL and it is a pain in the neck,
My mum wants to change to NTL yet I won't let her for obvious reasons.

In the future, I suggest you look into a new ISP my friend, I am with Wanadoo UK and apart from two problems;
• Their server was down and we weren't recieving the DSL connection via the phoneline
• (My behalf) My stupid Wireless Router/Modem had problems with iTunes 5 which cut me off the internet until realising needing a firmware upgrade for the modem.

Wanadoo UK has always served us well, £22.99 a month I think we're paying for 1mb speed and 6gb download limit. For a one-off charge of £20, you can get it upgraded to 2mb and then once it is available in your area, 8mb.
