RE: Enkele fouten in de Nederlandse vertaling
All your "corrections" will not be applied for several reasons.
1) It IS allowed, they are titles. EDIT: Note this isn't an official letter being translated, but a computer program. It is common practice to do this if the title is not a sentence all the time.
2) We had that discussion before, (and I also have confirmation of other language institues and translators), I don't do it because everybody agrees it looks weird. Not to mention that in certain sentences the word would be split in a strange looking way. I avoid it as much as possible, but if I can't I write it as pop3 e-mail. EDIT: look up your posts about your 'corrections' for Plus!3.
3) style and continuity reasons (and the 'auto' in 'accepteren' isn't a car; it isn't a noun) and readability.
4) style and continuity reasons. no style-error at all, it's a choice... If "bezig met" is used it should be "bezig met installeren" to keep it in canon with Windows. Altough it already sounds dodgy, it isn't the worst, but this also means that some other translations of this kind will become rather dodgy. eg: "Bezig met "geluidsbestand" afspelen". Not to mention that "bezig met" is longer than "aan het" and thus can't be used properly in all places for now.
5) style and continuity reasons (btw, and 'bureabladcontacten' isn't used by everybody at all, that's rubbish as it is only Plus! which introduced this and they have always been called 'desktopcontacten' in the first place, and with reason). EDIT: review the differences in context and use between "desktopcontacten" and "bureaublad" in the translations. Both are carefully choosen with reason.
EDIT:
6) It isn't wrong, also readability.
7) It isn't wrong, also readability.
8) already updated
9) Gender
