My guess is thats exactly why it does it. But sometimes you can rule out script behavior.

sometimes. I do agree it can be annoying, but I suppose it's the risk you take with scripts and therefore Patchou does it for your safety. I'm still 50/50 on it and really don't mind which way it goes
